Graphic 45 Art Journals

 Hello Friends,

Today I am excited to present my 2022-2003 Graphic 45 Brand Ambassador Design Team Audition.  I have debated for a few years if I should even try out for this team.  They have so many absolutely amazing designers who do spectacular detailed projects with lot of fussy cutting and mixed media.  Although, I have been paper crafting since 2012, I still consider myself as a beginner.  I don't do a ton of fussy cutting and I don't play with a lot of mixed media products.  I dabble in it a little bit, so I consider my projects to be more on the simple side.  I figured there is others like me out there who feel the same way.  That's why I decided to try out for the team.  My project is simple and attainable for the beginner.

Here is a little 6 x 6 Art Journal.  I have used the "Dreamland" paper collection by Graphic 45.  The book is made using 110lb card stock front & back cover and the "Happy Planner 9 Hole Punch" and Mini Discs.   Below I have a full video tutorial  showing how to make this project.

After I had made the "Dreamland" art journal, I new I need to make another for my tutorial and record it.  So, I decided to use Ephemera Queen for the second art journal.

I changed up the cover on this one so I would have a different look, but if you want to duplicate the original, I show you in my video tutorial how you can use any of the Graphic 45 die cut assortments to obtain it.

Here's a look at both Graphic 45 Art Journals together.

I hope you are inspired by this project and if you decide to create one, please upload it to the Graphic 45 Facebook page, Instagram page or other social media.
We would love to see what you created.

Blessings and Hugs!

Spring Mini Album

 Hello Friends,

Today I would like to share a little Spring Mini Album that I created.  The beautiful papers I used are light pastel colors and full of flowers, bunnies, eggs, plaid, polka dots and gingham. I used "The Best of Springtime" papers by Authentique and "Cottontail Collection" by Bo Bunny.  For the cover, I used a die cut by Anna Griffin called "Cut Away Circle Frame Dies".   Come take a look.

This mini album measures 6 1/4 X 6 1/4 and the spine is 1 1/2 inches.
The pages are made using 6 12x12 pieces of paper, each folded piece creates 3 pages in the album including 1 pocket page.  I am pretty sure I saw a similar album created by Lyric Lover Crafts on YouTube, so go check her out.  I created the binding by using the stacking method.

The tassel I created using 12 inch long pieces of ribbons & lace, folded in half and then wrapped them towards the folded ribbons, creating the top of the tassel.  Then I made a pretty blue bow to cover the wrapped ribbon.  Using a Tim Holtz jump ring, a cross charm and a Tim Holtz Ring Fastener I hung the tassel from the spine.  Here is a close up of the tassel.

The cover was created using an Anna Griffin Die cut.  I cut it out about 7 times in white cardstock and stacked them on top of each other.  Then the top layer I cut out of pastel green shimmer cardstock, adhered it with glue to the top. I cut 2 more, one of pastel pink shimmer cardstock and one of pastel yellow cardstock.  Then I fussy cut the flowers.  Added them to the top and added white and pink flat backed pearls.

Below be sure to check out my YouTube video to see all the pages of the album.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  I hope you enjoyed the inspiration I created for you.  Be sure to like and subscribe to my YouTube channel for more inspiration.

God Bless,
Diane
